Our process

Reduce risk with a delivery path you can follow — checkpoints that keep decisions moving, and a scope that says what is in and what is not.

Typical start
2–4 weeks after an agreed scope
Custom / service site
Usually 6–10 weeks once content is moving
Redesign
Often 6–12 weeks for a typical SME site
Landing page
1–3 weeks when offer and assets are ready

Timelines stretch when copy, photography or committee review arrives late — not because we “add weeks for quality”. For the calendar view, read how long a website project takes. For what drives price, see website cost in Perth.

1. Discovery & scope

We start with the job: who you sell to, what the site must do, which platform your team can actually run, and how you will know it worked (enquiries, bookings, orders — not “a modern look”).

We need from you: examples you like and dislike, access to the current site and analytics if they exist, and an honest note on who approves copy.

You leave with: a written scope, assumptions (content supplied or drafted with us), and a platform recommendation we can defend. No moodboard-as-contract.

2. Structure & design

Information architecture first: services, proof, locations, contact. Then key templates and a visual system that can survive the next six pages you add after launch.

Feedback is timeboxed after structure and after visual design so colour debates do not arrive on an unsettled sitemap. Brand-first does not mean clutter.

3. Build

Implementation on the agreed stack — WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, WooCommerce, Drupal, or custom — with content modelling, forms, SEO foundations (titles, canonicals, sensible URLs) and QA on real phones.

Integrations are wired for the paths you will actually use (inbox, CRM, booking). We would rather ship one reliable enquiry path than five half-connected tools.

4. Launch

Staging cutover, not “edit live and hope”. If you already have a site, redirects, analytics events and a final content check are part of go-live — not a favour afterwards. DNS and email records are planned so the website move does not take the inbox down.

You get a short watch window for critical fixes. Training sits here when the CMS is meant to be used by your team.

5. Support

Optional maintenance: updates, backups, monitoring and a monthly allowance for small fixes. New sections, redesigns and campaign pages stay as quoted project work so the care plan remains predictable.

Where projects stall

Missing copy, photography after UI is locked, extra stakeholders appearing in week six, and “can we just add a shop” mid-build. Discovery is designed to surface those risks while they are still cheap.
