Debunking ranger myths with a megadose of humour and unrelenting 90 seconds of fun.
Not really stated in the brief, but our team ‘kept it real’ in debunking the myths surrounding the job of Rangers in Cockburn. For one, they are not mystical animal whisperers. We developed the Rangers Reality Check, a ninety-second comedic gem that captures the authentic, sometimes chaotic, always dedicated nature of ranger work across Cockburn’s diverse community.
The video strips away misconceptions with trademark Australian humour, showing rangers navigating everything from wandering livestock to community compliance matters with professionalism and a (very) healthy dose of reality. Rather than perpetuating Hollywood fantasies of rangers communing with wildlife, our team layered lighthearted vignettes, not stiff or overly formal storytelling moments, that hilariously showcase the true scope of their role: technically proficient problem solvers (e.g. forensic sniffing of upturned barbecue grills for tell-tale clues to wandering pets), community educators, and local government representatives who just happen to encounter animals.
